Hi, I’m Vanessa, a Nature, Branding, and Portrait Photographer

I don’t have a deep story behind my love of photography, it started out with noticing small flowers around me and slowly transitioned to documenting the landscapes around Chatham-Kent and now I’ve fallen in love with Portraiture
More about me

Fact 01

I’m Vanessa

I grew up in Chatham Ontario, but i was born in a small town up north called Hearst. I was 5 when we settled in Chatham. I was gifted my first camera when i was 16. My Nikon coolplex went everywhere with me.

Fact 02

Relationship with nature

Growing up I wasn’t the most outdoorsy person however I always enjoyed the solitude nature offered over time i would find myself nestled in the woods, just me and my camera.

One thing that remains true is me and bugs do not get along 😖

Fact 03

Photography

Landscape photography is my first true love, but over time I felt like my photos were missing something.

I felt an emptiness, a devoid of life, which ignited my desire to explore portraits and doing so brought my landscapes to life.

Fact 04

Portraiture

And then I was really drawn to the reactions my clients would express how much they loved their photos. It really pushed me to be more creative and unique.

Just seeing their eyes light up makes me feel fulfilled and that my work makes a positive impact.
